The proposal

What we aim to do, including approaches not yet tested on these farms. Labelled as ambition, never as fact.

Evidence from elsewhere

Research and documented examples that inform our approach, each with its place, date, scale and limits attached. A good precedent somewhere else is not an Onzenu result.

Evidence from the farms

Dated, measured observations from our own land, with the methods and context needed to judge them. Today there are none published, because the work has just begun. That will change as the baselines fill in.

We publish the method, not only the success.

A result you cannot inspect is marketing. Our farm records will show what was measured, what changed, what else might explain it and what we still do not know. When we get something wrong, the correction will be as visible as the claim was.

Change the rules.

We are pressing for a tax reduction for land dedicated to conservation, and we will argue the case with evidence, ours included.

Build trust before making bigger claims.

No impact counters without records. No partners named without their permission. No outcome presented as proved because we hope for it. That is the deal we offer every reader.
